In addition to fire starting capabilities, roughly fifty-three pages of college ruled 8.5" x 11" paper can be written using the SP3 KITv1's pen.

When compared to other fire starters, the SP3 KITv1 is an ultralight, adventure ready product. The complete kit only weighs 0.7oz... which is less than a disposable lighter.
Additionally, as an individual component, the SP3 FERRO rod is the lightest handled ferro rod on the market. It uses high quality 3/16" rods that can be ordered in one of two different hardnesses (soft or hard).
